HOW TO EXERCISE

Set a Goal

Whether you want to lose weight, bulk up, or even stay fit, you need to set a realistic goal for yourself. Write it down and put it in a place where you can clearly see it. Being constantly reminded helps motivate you to really achieve what you want to.

Make a Plan

What days are you going to do what? If you go to the gym not having a plan about what you're doing to work out, you will feel less motivated and even be unorganized. Create a schedule for what days you plan on working out and the days you plan on having a break day. A great example of this would be using the FITT-VP principle. Frequency, Intensity, Time, Type, Volume and Progression.

Make it Habit

How motivated are you to do your workout? It's not easy starting a workout plan, and you're not going to see results the day you start working. Keeping yourself motivated and making working out a habit will allow you to get in the zone and will eventually lead you to your goal. Work hard, stay motivated and make it a habit.

Have Fun!

Starting a new exercise plan isn't always about doing the things that we don't like. When creating your plan, you can incorporate some fun activities that make exercise less of a hassle. Below are some fun ways you can stay active and even tie into your exercise routines.

Golfing

Skiing & Snow boarding

Swimming

Yoga

Taking the stairs

Walking your dog
